On April 16, 2025, Wan Chaorong, Deputy Party Secretary of the Chongqing Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources Exploration and Development, led a delegation to Southwest University to conduct an on-site visit of theChina-Hungary Belt and Road Joint Laboratory of Food Science (in Preparation). Hu Changhua, Dean ofthe Institute of Science and Technology Development of Southwest University; Wu Junping, Party Secretary of the College of Food Science; Zhang Binjia, Vice Dean; and key members of the Joint Laboratory attended the event.
During the visit, Professor Chen Kewei and Professor Du Muying from the College of Food Science gave the delegation a detailed introduction to the history of cooperation and achievements of theChinese-Hungarian Cooperative Research Center for Food Science. Subsequently, the delegation visited theChinese-Hungarian Cooperative Research Center for Food Scienceand the craft beer pilot production workshop (see Figures 1 and 2).

During the discussion and exchange, Professor Kan Jianquan further reported on theCenter's experience in building an international scientific and technological cooperation platform and held in-depth discussions with delegation members on the theme of international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (see Figure 3). Deputy Party Secretary Wan Chaorong spoke highly of Southwest University's achievements in building the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory (in Preparation) and expressed the willingness to deepen cooperation between the two sides through this visit.

Dean Hu Changhua said that thisresearch visitnot only promoted communication and cooperation between the Chongqing Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources Exploration and Development and Southwest University, but also laid the foundation for future in-depth cooperation between the two sides in food science and related fields. He emphasized that, under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, theChina-Hungary Belt and Road Joint Laboratory of Food Science (in Preparation)will continue to promote interdisciplinary integration and innovation between food science and other disciplines.
